MOXON TIMBERS INC.
is the USA division of Moxon & Co., originally established in
Brisbane, Australia, over 100 years ago in
1903. Over the decades, the Moxon Group has grown to become
a mature company with global interests.
IN THE UNITED STATES,
MOXON TIMBERS INC. USA was formed in 1987 and currently has a distribution
yard, drying kilns, and wine oak manufacturing in Winchester,
Virginia and a West Coast distribution warehouse in Portland,
Oregon.
IN
AUSTRALIA , Moxon has three main offices: One in Queensland,
at Brisbane (distribution yard); one in Sydney, New South Wales;
and one in Melbourne, Victoria (distribution yard). The Brisbane
office also holds 50% of a flooring installation and manufacturing
company.
INTERNATIONALLY,
we have
a yard and kiln drying operation in Tauranga, New Zealand, yards
in France and in China, and several interests elsewhere including
South America. Since 1987 we have also been involved in producing
wine oak for the wine making industry world wide.
We
source our products from all over the world, being active in the United
States, Asia, Latin America, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. As
members of several industry organizations, we are committed to responsibly
maintaining accepted industry standards and environmental sustainability
standards in the markets in which we participate.
PEOPLE
Moxons
is a fully family owned, private company that has seen four generations
of family management. The current CEO at the helm is Anthony Moxon.
The Vice President of the U.S.A. operation, Shayne Lachlan, has been
with Moxons for over twenty five years. Shayne has experience in Australia,
Asia, and the United States. The proprietor of the Portland office,
Phil Nolin, has been with the company for over twenty years, having
done a tour of duty with the company in Australia before settling
back in Portland.
