The corporate
head office of Moxon Timbers Australia is in Brisbane (Queensland,
Australia), operating from a major new facility at Yatala.
Moxon
Timbers Australia sources numerous exotic and Australian species for
its global market. It also mills "Barakula Gold" Australian
Cypress out of Chinchilla under Australian Government regulated sustainability
guidelines, earning the "Sustainable Certified Australian Cypress"
seal.
Since 1987
Moxon Timbers Australia has also been involved in producing wine
oak for the wine making industry world wide, and has recently expanded
its wine oak manufacturing into the USA.
True to
its Australian origins, Moxon & Co is owned and operated by
the fourth generation of a Queensland (Australia) family, with CEO
Tony Moxon at the helm. The Vice President of the USA operation,
Shayne Lachlan, is also an Australian who has been based at the
Virginia branch of Moxon Timbers Inc. since 1998. He was with the
company in Australia for more than 13 years prior to that. His 2IC,
Brett Ford, is also from Queensland, Australia. The Portland branch
is headed up by Phil Nolin who, after doing a tour of duty at Moxon
Timbers Australia, returned to Portland to operate his Oregon branch
of Moxon Timbers.
From its historical Australian foundation, the Moxon Group now has
global interests throughout the world.
